We slept in a bit and ate breakfast at the Hostal, it was free. We slept well and felt alot better in the morning. We have Free wifi so we were able to browse the internet on our phones and figure out what to visit while we were here. I found an awesome cathedral in downtown Quito, so after breakfast we hopped on a taxi and went downtown.
The Cathedral was amazing! Very large and spacious. We walked around and found out we could actually go to the highest tower to view quito. We had no idea what we were getting into!! We went up the elivator to the third floor and from their crossed the sketchiest bridge. We then went up some stairs that were pretty much straigh up and down! One set of stairs was outside with a huge drop down to the ground. Christina and I got to the top and couldn´t believe how hard it was. We had a huge rush. I´ll post some pictures later once we get to Cuenca. The internet here really blows and it would take all day to upload the pictures.
After that we took a couple buses to Mitad Del Mundo. They were a couple busses that took over an hour but it only cost ust .40 to get there. The place was awesome and we did some shopping and got some cool pictures.

Christina´s Perspective:
We started the day off with a little complementary breakfast from the hostel. It was pancakes and eggs. Yay. We then headed out and walked around Quito for a bit. It was nice because it is a big touristy place. Loooots of white people around, comparatively. So no one was staring too much. We stick out like sore thumbs.
We took a taxi to this magnificent cathedral. It was breathtaking. I looove cathedrals. The one in Salt Lake is really gorgeous too, for those that are there, you should go visit it. We took lots of pictures and heard this tour guide explaining a lot of things about it. So Brendon read online that we could climb to the top, but what we didn´t know was how scary it was. He heard it was sketchy but we didn´t expect this.
We had to open this gate thing and cross this wooden bridge. I don´t know how it was held up, and the railing was made of ropes. Very scary. When we got to the end of that, we had these steps or rather this LADDER to climb. So we climbed that and got to a little landing with a beautiful view. We then climbed two more sets of ladders to the very top. These ladders, they are VERY STEEP and were ridiculously scary, my heart was about to explode. Seriously, my heart was beating so fast. It was worth it though.
At one of the shops at the cathedral, we found this beautiful artwork that I really want to go back and buy. It was gorgeous.
After that we came back to the hostel to recuperate and then took a couple buses to this place called Mitad del Mundo. It was a gorgeous little ¨town¨and had many little museums there that I didn´t get a chance to go in to. We did take pictures though and took pictures on the equator. But, where they say the equator lies is false. They built this place and the equator line there years ago and it was accurat for its time but has been proven false. Oh well.
